In the Field: A National Geographic Photographer’s Perspective
In the fall of 2017, Apex worked with National Geographic photographer Kenton Rowe to capture several operating wind projects, the technicians who manage them, and the farmers (and, naturally, the livestock) who live among the turbines.
At Apex, we know that people are the driving force behind our projects.
Commercializing and operating wind farms requires years of commitment and collaboration from many people—not just Apex employees, but also landowners, community members, elected officials, and many others. In October and November 2017, photographer Kenton Rowe traveled to Oklahoma and Texas to capture the faces and communities behind wind projects that Apex developed and operates. If a picture says a thousand words, there’s a whole novel to be written with these photos.
