Apex Clean Energy Signs PPAs with Pacificorp in Utah for 160 MW

Charlottesville, VA – July 23, 2013 – Apex Clean Energy has signed two power purchase agreements (PPAs) with PacifiCorp for Apex’s Long Ridge Wind project in Utah. Both agreements are anticipated to receive final state approval by late summer of this year. The 160 MW of wind energy, comprising two 80 MW projects, will produce enough electricity to power approximately 43,000 average U.S. homes.

“These PPAs represent a significant step forward for these projects,” said Mark Goodwin, President of Apex. “We are excited about continuing our work on these projects with the Bureau of Land Management and helping our country achieve its renewable energy goals.”

The development and construction of the Long Ridge project will represent an estimated $230 million investment in the region and is expected to generate significant tax revenues, economic benefits and jobs for Millard County.
